League Champions - Our Compton U14

Last game of the season and all to play for as our U14 took on Sparkford on a Thursday evening. The weather was great and atmosphere palpable as both teams knew what it meant. A win would fetch them the league title.

Compton house were away at Sparkford and with 12 players turning up when only 8 were playing ! The Compton spirit was well alive !

Sparkford won the toss, inserted us and Compton promptly racked up 189-4, with Will Tatham quickly accumulating 23, Jamie Hatch retiring on 35 and others chipping in.

In reply, Sparkford could only manage 75-3, thanks to some excellent tight bowling from Jamie Hatch in particular (2-8 in four overs).

A huge win, which clinched the league for the u14s, for the second year in succession!
