Our first U14 inter club match of the season

20 U14 cricketers played an inter-CHCC on Thursday evening in the first youth match of the year.

This is a good bunch of cricketers and the standard was good, especially so considering that many were playing their first match of the season after only a couple of net sessions.

Batting standouts were Will T, Jamie Hatch and Theo. Aarv though was the star batsman with some thunderous shots including a massive six that needed to be retrieved from the field.

Tino impressed on debut for CHCC with a couple of nice wickets in a good spell and Jack bowled beautifully too, his loopy drifting breaks left batsman unable to go forwards or backwards and he only conceded 2 runs in his spell. The Duke of Drift is back.

All in all a good time was had by all and everyone enjoyed some time in the middle.

Thanks to Rob, Iain and Jo for their help!

We're hoping to run more of these matches through the season, so watch this space!
