15. Transport Policy


• Junior Matches, With the exception of their own children, members of the Club will not transport young players to, or from, Junior matches or practices. The Club will only be responsible for young players whilst at the cricket venue, whether home or away.
• All parents/carers are responsible for the safe delivery and collection of their child for matches or training.
• All fixtures are provided to parents through the club website and/or WhatsApp/email via the Team Managers and/or the Chairman.
• Coaches and club staff will be responsible for children in their care when on the club premises or on arrival at opponents’ cricket grounds.
• It is not the responsibility of the coach or team manager to transport, or arrange to transport, the children to and from the club or match.
• The club will ensure permission from parents/carers is given for children to participate in all competitions and away fixtures/events.
• For all training & matches parents/carers must report to the head coach or team manager to ensure they are aware their child has been dropped off and to be briefed as to collection time as this may vary
• There will always be more than one adult Club member in a car with young player/s, except when the adult is the parent/carer of the only young player in the car.
• Parental consent is required for young players to be transported in vehicles driven by Club members. Consent will be required at the start of a season and will cover journeys to and from all cricket matches listed in the Club fixture book, unless it is withdrawn in writing. Should additional matches be arranged, the Club will notify parents/carers of those involved. The consent provided at the start of the season will apply for these, unless the Club receives written notification to the contrary.
• Unless otherwise notified, the Designated Meeting Point will be Compton Park and the time will be advised when a young player is notified of their selection for matches.
